Getting started

Three steps to your first seder.

1

Choose your chaburah

Browse by masechta, age, and schedule, and pick the room that fits how he learns.

2

Apply and get matched

A quick call or an online form. We place him with the right chaburah and mashpia.

3

Your Aleph1 arrives

The device comes ready to go. One tap, and he's learning with his chaburah.

The device

Meet the Aleph1, our proprietary learning tablet.

A single-purpose tablet, built for one thing: to bring the chaburah to the bedside.

Kosher, secure, and locked

No browser, no apps, no distractions. Only the chaburah lives on it.

All Torah and nothing but

Every shiur, every daf, every session. Nothing else is a tap away.

Parental oversight and controls

Family and staff keep a gentle watch over how and when it's used.

The split-view: the daf on one side, the chaburah on the other.
Split-view learning

Follow along. Learn. Discuss and debate.

The daf, split-view

The Gemara on one side, your chaburah on the other. Tap any word for Rashi or Tosafos.

Everyone on the same page

Live page-sync keeps the whole chaburah together, line for line.

Speak your mind

An open mic and a live room. Ask, argue, work it through, and every shiur is recorded to catch up.

Over 30 Mashpi'im and Chaburos to choose from.

Questions

Questions, answered.

What if he can't commit to three times a week?

+

That's alright. Many boys start with what they can manage, and we build the schedule around his days, not the other way around.

Who is eligible to join?

+

Any bachur whose illness keeps him from his regular seder, whether he's hospitalized, bedridden, or recovering at home.

What does it cost the family?

+

Nothing. Amud Aleph is fully sponsored. The device and the chaburah are given freely.

What device does he learn on?

+

A filtered, single-purpose Aleph1 tablet that we send to him, locked to the chaburah and nothing else.

Can he join from the hospital?

+

Yes. As long as he can hold the device, he can join his chaburah from wherever he is.

How does he get started?

+

Call (000) 000-0000 or apply online. We'll find the right chaburah and take it from there.

Sample questions shown. The live FAQ is finalizing with the Amud Aleph team.
